I am in the 15/16 in the picture which is my typical true to size I wear a XL in Judy Blue shorts and 15/32 in jeans. These are running relaxed and I would have been a little more comfortable in the 13/14 just for the simple fact that there's a little too much bunching for me.
So my sizing advice is:
Size down if you are in-between sizes or if you want relaxed without the bunching.
